LEAD University and The Reynolds Foundation (TRF) have established a strategic alliance that includes an annual investment to fund scholarships for young people from rural and indigenous communities in Costa Rica. The agreement was formally presented during LEAD University’s graduation ceremony, held on July 4.
This collaboration aims to broaden access to high-quality education in the fields of business and leadership, with a focus on students from communities historically excluded from national development. Beyond financial support, the partnership reflects a shared vision of strengthening freedom, democracy, and young talent through meaningful opportunities.
“The privilege of studying cannot depend on a postal code. With this agreement, we want to ensure that the dreams and merit of Costa Rican youth are not limited by their place of origin. Freedom begins with the possibility of choice, and this alliance represents precisely that,” said Dr. Álvaro Salas-Castro, President and CEO of TRF.
The alliance also includes civic education programs, mentorship opportunities with international leaders, and the promotion of community impact projects, with the goal of building a strong network of future leaders committed to democratic values and positive transformation in their territories.
With this initiative, LEAD University reinforces its commitment to inclusion and academic excellence, while TRF consolidates its role as a global actor in defending freedom and equitable access to development opportunities.
