• Tyranny Tracker - Human Rights Foundation: An index that classifies political regimes based on a unique methodology that evaluates 45 indicators across three key pillars: electoral competition, freedom of dissent, and institutional accountability.
• Academic Partnerships: The Reynolds Foundation funds leading academic initiatives that advance freedom in theory and practice. At Cornell University, in partnership with the Human Rights Foundation, we support the Cryptocurrencies Hub’s Bitcoin Index: researching how citizens under authoritarian rule use decentralized tools to secure financial freedom. At Columbia University, we partner with the Institute of Global Politics to support cross-disciplinary programs across SIPA, the Journalism School, and Columbia Global, advancing democratic resilience, cross-partisan engagement, and the next generation of global leaders.
• Partnership with the National Endowment for Democracy: An alignment of philanthropic capital, institutional infrastructure, and field-level expertise to strengthen freedom and democracy globally. Through collaboration, mutual support, and coordinated engagement, TRF and NED aim to expand the reach, scale, and fund freedom and democracy focused initiatives, while increasing the overall percentage of global philanthropic capital dedicated to these efforts.
